The Swim & Sport club in Flanders New Jersey held their 58th annual Sports Fest on August 5th. The festival is host to the oldest, and only field-handball tournament in the country. The men’s tournament was won by the tough and talented Carolina Team Handball Club. NYC Team Handball Club won a close game to Boston in the woman’s finals to take home the 1st place trophy. The tournament was played by teams like the NY Athletic club, New York THC, Montreal THC, Ohio State THC, and other clubs from around the world. Some teams even set up campsites to rest during the 2-day competition. Handball Olympians of the past, present, and future were also in attendance. Sports Fest was an event for all generations which included camping, swimming, food, music, soccer and handball tournaments all on a 25- acre field.
